Ba Duan Jin is a centuries-old Qigong practice rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that harmonizes breath, movement, and intention. Its eight gentle exercises referred to as “8 Brocades” are designed to cultivate energy, improve flexibility, and restore balance to body and mind. The 8 Brocades or “Eight Pieces of Brocade” are traditionally seen as a precious, refined, and highly beneficial practice for better health – like fine silk brocade fabric. Ancient practitioners believed each movement polishes and strengthens the body, Improves Qi (traditional Chinese medicine means life force) and enhances overall health in a way that is beautiful and valuable, just like fine silk brocade.
